Makhado Municipality Mayor, Her Worship Cllr Dorcus Mboyi, held a constructive meeting with the Elim Hospital Board on Friday, 15 November 2024, to discuss several pressing service delivery issues.

The discussion focused on a range of challenges affecting the hospital, including severe traffic congestion around the hospital, particularly at the main entrance, which has been blocking ambulances and other vehicles.

Other concerns raised include the proliferation of unapproved spaza shops around the hospital premises.

Mayor Mboyi emphasised the municipality's commitment to supporting all hospitals under Makhado’s jurisdiction, ensuring they continue to provide vital services to the community. "We are fully committed to addressing the service delivery challenges highlighted by the hospital board, and we will prioritise finding solutions," she stated.
