In a significant improvement to public service, residents of Makhado can now enjoy a much faster process for obtaining and renewing driver’s licences. This enhancement follows the introduction of an innovative Smart Enrollment Unit (SEU) by Makhado Mayor, Cllr Dorcus Mboyi.

This state-of-the-art eye test machine streamlines the process, allowing users to renew driver’s licenses, apply for learner’s permits, and secure Professional Driving Permits (PrDP) all in one convenient visit, typically completed in under 10 minutes.

Mayor Mboyi expresses enthusiasm for the new service, stating that “we are very excited about these developments as people will no longer stay in long queues.” She encouraged community members to take advantage of the cutting-edge testing station for their licensing needs.

Local resident Rhulani Maluleka praised the initiative, saying that “this will make it so much easier for everyone as it only takes few minutes to renew a driver’s licence. It is great to see our government improving services for us.”

Mayor Mboyi reaffirms the municipality’s dedication to delivering on its promises, emphasising the significance of this initiative for the community’s convenience and efficiency.
