MAYOR BUILT A HOUSE FOR A DESTITUTE FAMILY.

Makhado Municipality Mayor Her Worship Cllr Shonisani Mildred Sinyosi recently handed over a 4-roomed well furnished house to the Munyayi family of Tshituni-Tshafhasi village in Nzhelele. This comes after the Mayor had promised to build a house to one poor family in her 100 days in office. Makwarela Phophi Munyayi (73) was sharing a one roomed house with her 47 year old son David. The one roomed mud house was used as both a kitchen and a bedroom.

The old lady cried when receiving the keys of the house from Mayor Sinyosi while the Executive Mayor of Vhembe District Cllr Florence Radzilani was looking on. She said that she was happy that God has sent a hood samaritan to build a descent house for her. "I really thank the Mayor for the house,"she said.

Mayor Sinyosi said that the house is just a testimony that Makhado is committed to render quality services to the people. She thanked business people who got involved in the project. "Together with business people we can indeed do more"
She added that makhado will never be the same again. She was applauded by the Executive Mayor of Vhembe District Her Worship Cllr Florence Radzilani for a job well done. "Mayor Sinyosi has done us proud", said Radzilani.
