MAYOR GIVES NEW BABIES CHRISTMAS PRESENTS

There was joy when Makhado Municipality Mayor, His Worship Cllr David Mutavhatsindi handed Christmas presents in a form of clothes to the new-born babies at both Louis Trichardt Memorial and Elim Hospitals on Christmas. Mothers of the babies were very excited about receiving the gifts from the Mayor.


In an effort to urge motorists to drive safely on the roads, Makhado Municipality Mayor His Worship Cllr David Mutavhatsindi recently engaged in arrive-alive campaign at the N1 junction in Makhado. The Mayor handed out informational brochures and also urged motorists to obey traffic laws. This was part of the municipality's two weeks long programme for the festive season.

History was made when Louis Trichardt was officially renamed Makhado Town during a well-attended occasion that was held at the Makhado Information Centre on Saturday September 29. The town went to a standstill as members of the community celebrated the renaming of the town after a Warrior King Makhado, who always led his people from the front. This is the man who always understood the importance of remaining vigilant against enemy invasion. Makhado was organic intellectual who led his people with humility and intelligence. Read More...

Makhado Municipality Mayor His Worship Cllr F.D Mutavhatsindi (right) recently met with the Chairperson of the Chairpersons Association Mr Andre Naude to discuss developmental issues in the Makhado Town. The meeting was part of the Mayor`s consultation programme with stakeholders on developmental issues.

This was during the handing over of 3 new graders and a TLB which the municipality has recently purchased at a value of R7 Million.


 

The Honourable Mayor of Makhado Municipality Cllr FD Mutavhatsindi celebrated his birthday on the 20th of August, together with physically impaired children attached to the TshilwavhusikuRazwimisani Special School. Apart from sharing his birthday cake with the children, the Mayor also handed some gifts to the children.
